Cottonwood's TK Scholars had a lesson on Problem Solving. Inspired by the text, Turkey Trouble, a story about a turkey trying to avoid becoming his owners' turkey dinner, he set out on disguising himself to avoid capture. Our scholars created possible disguises for turkey to stay safe. They did an amazing job. #TheHUSDWay #CottonwoodCougars

Here is quick look at the week ahead. The amazing Arts Integration Team will be on campus providing a myriad of artistic opportunities for scholars on Monday and Tuesday. Basketball is starting on Monday. On Tuesday we are hosting the Hemet Unified School District Governing Board Meeting in the MPR which will start at 5:30 p.m. all are welcome. Mark your calendars that our Thanksgiving Break starts the following week on Monday, November 24th and runs through Friday, November 28th. ELOP will be on campus Monday-Wednesday for families who enrolled in the November Enrichment. Friday, December 19th is a non-student day, however, ELOP is hosting a December Enrichment Day. Students who enroll and come on December 19th, will be served breakfast and lunch and spend the day with friends doing a variety of winter themed activities. See flyer for registration information. At today's Fall Themed Saturday School, our scholars made suncatcher turkeys, gratitude pumpkins, Indian Corn, and they transformed donuts, Fruit Loops and toothpicks into delectable edible turkeys.
