The HUSD Governing Board held a Study Session this afternoon to take a closer look what the online learning model will look like by grade level. Much thought and preparation has been gone into the development of a model to meet the needs of our students. Please take a look at the document that was reviewed.

School will be starting up soon. Mr. Stearns shares critical resources to make sure you are prepared to start the school year online.

Dear HUSD Families,

In light of the most recent California Department of Public Health order the District is anticipating opening the 2020-2021 school year via an online learning model. At the next regularly scheduled Board Meeting, Tuesday, July 21, the Governing Board will take action regarding the instructional model that HUSD will implement at the beginning of the new school year. Communication regarding our updated plan for the 2020-21 school year will be sent to families on Wednesday.

Hello Cottonwood families!
I am so excited to be joining the Cub and Cougar teams! This will be my 5th year with Hemet Unified as a Speech Language Pathologist. Prior to becoming an SLP, I was a teacher for 6 years in a variety of settings. When I went back to school to start my SLP degrees, I thought that I wanted to work in a medical setting but the opportunity to come to HUSD was presented and now I cannot see myself anywhere else. Helping children to become effective communicators is incredibly interesting and rewarding!
I am looking forward to meeting everyone soon!

Smile!! School Pictures will be taken on Monday, August 10th, and Tuesday, August 11th. Photos will be taken in the library classroom when you come to pick up your textbooks. Check the link below to read the order form. If you are interested in purchasing pictures you can pay online before you arrive or you can bring payment when you come.

Cottonwood Families, attached is a letter from Principal Stearns that explains the materials distribution, school photos, textbook and Chromebook Check-Out routines for Monday and Tuesday (August 10th and 11th). The library tech and office staff have been hard at work getting organized for your arrival! See you all soon!

Cottonwood School welcomes Mr. Nick Stearns as the principal for the 2020-2021 School Year. Mr. Stearns is coming from Santa Rosa Academy where he served as the principal for the past 6 years. He is excited to get settled in and get to work. Welcome aboard!
