Cottonwood families are in for a treat this Thursday, March 21st. The fun starts at 4:30 p.m. with Pizza, at 5:00 p.m. you can participate in a Guided Paint Activity, followed by Open House at 6:00 p.m. Also, the Book Fair will be open, so stop by the library and pick up some new literary treasures. See you all there!

Hemet Unified School wants to hear your voice. Please complete the LCAP Survey. You can complete it at home or at school. If you return a signed note that you completed the survey your children will receive a reward. The 3 classes with the highest participation will receive a pizza party!

Cottonwood Middle School Students will be traveling to Cal Baptist University in Riverside, on Monday, March 4th to tour the campus and get a feel for a local university campus. Bring your questions and comfortable walking shoes! Please make sure to get your permission slips in so that you don't miss out! #HUSDPremier #Cottonwood @CaliCounz

Read Across America Week! February 25th – March 1st

Spirit Days are planned throughout the week.

Monday – Green Eggs and Ham Day – Wear Green to School.
Tuesday – Grab Your Hat and Read with the Cat In the Hat – Wear your favorite hat to school.
Wednesday – Wacky Wednesday – Wear your Wackiest Hairdo.
Thursday - It's Sleep Book Day. Wear your pajamas to school (No slippers!)
*Family Reading Night at 5:00 p.m. in the library. Bring a blanket and settle in for a fun evening.
Friday – Fox in Socks Day – Wear your favorite pair of crazy socks.

Literature comes to life tomorrow night, Thursday, 2/28/19, in the Cottonwood Library for Family Reading Night. The event starts at 5:00 p.m. and runs until 6:30 p.m. Come in your comfy pajamas and bring a blanket to sit on and enjoy the evening. Here is a sneak peak of the titles which will be presented. #HUSDPremier #ReadAcrossAmerica

There is no School Next Week, February 18th - 22nd in Observance of Presidents' Week. Please enjoy the time off with your family and friends and return safely on Monday, February 25th.

Cottonwood Parents the follow statement has been issued by the Hemet Unified School District:

Road and Weather Conditions Effects for February 15th - Parents, Guardians, and Staff:
Due to weather conditions and road closures all mountain schools including Idyllwild School, Hamilton K-8 School, Hamilton High School, and Cottonwood School will be closed tomorrow, Friday, February 15, 2019.

Please stay safe and we will see you safe and sound on Monday, February 25th, since we are closed next week for Presidents' Week.

Cottonwood families. All busses departed from Cottonwood at approximately 11:15 a.m. which was later than our earlier projection. Please note, that any students who are not met at their bus stops will be returned to Cottonwood School until parents can pick them up.
