Middle School students interested in playing sports and travelling with the team to various tournaments need to have signed permission slips completed and submitted, they need to have GPA's over 2.0, no F's, no Suspensions, and a Current Physical. If you are in need of a SPORTS PHYSICAL, we will have a physician on campus tomorrow, Thursday, September 1st at 9:30. He can only do physicals if you have a signed permission slip. All students were given permission slips, however, if you are in need of a new one, you can get one in the office in the morning before the doctor arrives. Go Cougars!!

Michael H. Hestrin, DA for the County of Riverside, shares a friendly reminder about the importance of good attendance as we kick off the new school year.

Cottonwood Families, we are super excited to let you know that our library is hosting a Scholastic Book Fair between August 22nd and August 26th. The library will be open before school and after school during this week and students can shop during their class library time, recesses and lunches. You can set up an eWallet using the link provided or send your students with cash. Parents are also welcome to shop with their students before and after school and on August 25th when we are hosting Back to School Night. This is an awesome opportunity to expand your child's home library and to donate to your child's classroom library. See you there!

Families if you are in need of supervision before school, after school or to ensure that all of your children can leave at the same time on the same buses, you can register now for B4 the Bell which opens at 6:00 a.m. and SAFE which supports students after dismissal until 6:00 p.m.

Families, if you are in need of any in person support to register your child in school for the 2022-2023 School Year, or you need assistance to complete your Data Verification you can come to the office at Cottonwood School, or you can go to the HUSD Centralized Enrollment Center in Hemet. In addition to their standard business hours, the Centralized Registration Center will also be open extended hours, this coming Saturday, August 6th from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 p.m. to make sure all students are ready to go on the first day of school, August 9th.

Cottonwood Families, we would like to formally invite you to a Parent Reception hosted for you by the PTO. The reception will take place on the morning of the first day of school, Tuesday, August 9th at 8:45 a.m. Once you have snapped your First Day of School pictures, given them one more hug, and gotten your children off to class, we would love for you to enjoy some refreshments and meet the PTO Board and see what exciting things they have in store for our children in the coming year. Cottonwood is excited to announce that we are extending our Meet and Greet to all students on Monday, August 8th, from 2:00-3:00 p.m. This is an awesome opportunity to walk the campus, meet the teachers and get any questions you may have answered. We look forward to seeing you soon!
